We are Jeff & Dale Ocasio and work collaboratively to create sculpted and digital art expressing an imaginative, storybook spirit. Figurative sculpture is a large part of our work which includes a wide cast of quirky characters. The world we make encompasses many of the simple things in life with a colorful, naïve, and uniquely skewed perspective.
Sculpting with paper masking tape over wire and reclaimed objects is where our artwork begins. Each sculpture is encased with layers of acid‐free glue, color is added with more layers of acrylics, and then protected with matte varnish. Many of our sculptures are documented through our own digital illustrations and animations.
We like it when people tell us that they have never seen anything like our art. Words used to describe it have ranged from “happy” to “charmingly disturbing” and we are good with that. Currently, we are based in sunny, slow-moving southwest Florida.
